Construction Update – April 22, 2010

Phase I of Main St. construction is almost done!!!

We’re right on schedule for completion of Phase I on April 30th. Trees and plants are going in this week, as are light posts.

Next week you’ll see benches and trash receptacles lining the street. The final coat of asphalt will be applied at the end of this week and road striping will be done next week.

During the OneAmerica 500 Festival Mini Marathon on may 8th, the SRC will have a “yard of bricks” for the runners to cross leading to the new section of Main St. (at the north edge of Charlie Brown’s driveway). Balloons will be released as the first runners cross this line (approximately 7:30-8 a.m.). Please join us and invite your customers, friends and family to celebrate this great transition of Main St. in Speedway!
