Daredevil Brewing Co opens Main Street Production Brewery and Public Taproom
Town of Speedway celebrates opening of new craft brewery with a ribbon-cutting ceremony
Speedway, Ind. — On Wednesday, June 17, Daredevil Brewing Co, makers of Lift Off IPA and aggressively fun craft beers, celebrated the completion of its new production facility and first public tap room with a grand opening event held at its outdoor patio located at 1151 Main Street in Speedway.
Daredevil kicked off its opening celebration at 11 a.m. with a ribbon-cutting ceremony hosted by the Town of Speedway and Speedway Redevelopment Commission. Following the ribbon cutting, the brewery opened its doors to the public, offering craft beer, brewery tours, food trucks and live music.
After 4 p.m., the local brewery will feature Crowler® and growler fills for takeout and Rare Devil small batch tappings on draft only, while supplies last. Guests must be 21 or older to attend.
“We are excited to welcome Daredevil Brewing Co to Speedway’s Main Street,” said Scott Harris, executive director of the Speedway Redevelopment Commission. “A craft brewery provides a new type of destination location that deeply complements and diversifies our growing community of local businesses and restaurants on Main Street.”
Daredevil Brewing Co is one of the most recognized and fastest growing craft breweries in Indiana and has seen tremendous growth over the last three years. The new $3 million, 10,000-square-foot facility represents the first newly constructed production brewery built in Indianapolis since the Prohibition. The business has also secured room for additional expansion in the future and will initially employ around 25 people.
“We are very excited to complete construction of the new Main Street production brewing facility and taproom,” said Shane Pearson, co-owner of Daredevil Brewing Co, “Main Street, Speedway, is an iconic location that uniquely complements everything Daredevil is about. The new facility will allow us to greatly expand our brewing capacity while also having plenty of space in the taproom and outdoor lawn and patio areas to host hundreds of guests on race weekends and for special events like our annual craft beer festival.”
“Daredevil’s welcoming taproom and production craft brewery on Main Street provides an easily accessible destination that encourages even more residents and visitors to experience Speedway’s vibrant community,” said David Lindsey, president of the Speedway Town Council.
