Event Looks to ‘Redefine’ IndySRC Member

Indianapolis, Ind. — A brand-new event will focus the most innovative minds from Indiana and across the country on how Indianapolis can use its creative resources to redefine itself. INDY REDEFINED, created by Achieve and IndyHub, takes place Oct. 30, 2014, at the Dallara IndyCar Factory in Speedway, Ind.
Dynamic leaders from the cause and corporate sectors of the economy who are redefining organizational culture will share how to build transparent relationships, better products and services, a more human-centered company and, ultimately, a stronger workforce and business.
Scheduled speakers so far are:

Two additional opportunities will take place in advance and immediately following INDY REDEFINED. On Oct. 29, HACKATHON REDEFINED will present 10 college undergraduates with less than 24 hours to create a technology solution to attract 20- and 30-somethings to the city. PHILANTHROPY REDEFINED will immediately follow the main event on Oct. 30, featuring re:Populate, the final event in the 2014 Indianapolis 5×5 series, a platform co-designed to provide anyone with a great idea the chance to win a $10,000 prize. Five finalists will each have five minutes to present an arts-inspired idea to invigorate urban living in Indianapolis.

The Problem: How does Indianapolis inspire and attract a new demographic of young professionals?
The Solution: At noon, a select group of 10 university undergraduates – identified as Indiana’s most promising developers – meet their mentors and begin building their answer through technology.

Leaders of diverse industries discuss how they’re going beyond the basic responsibilities to dynamically address and involve a new workforce and consumer. They’ll explore trends in four focus areas within the cause/nonprofit and corporate spaces (presented consecutively):
• Culture – Hear how to redefine an organization’s culture to build a stronger business.
• Relationships – Discover how interpersonal communication and technologies build transparent relationships among constituents and consumers.
• Talent – Learn how to use talent and financial assets to build stronger products, services and human-centered organizations.
• Movements – See how an interconnected community creates movements within a new consumer and activist generation focused on a common purpose.
